Ocearns Care Services  is dedicated to giving you and your family the care you deserve. Since 2021, our team have been providing Domiciliary care and supported Living Services  for all ages. We also provide sit in services and social calls for children with complex needs.

Domiciliary Care

 

The comfort we feel in our home is like no other. It is the place that you feel most relaxed and happy. Many people in need of care prefer to stay in familiar environments close to family and friends whilst at the same time retaining their independence.

 

Domiciliary care is designed to support you to continue to live at home with the help you need. We aim to ensure you regain or maintain your wellness and independence.

 

At Ocearns Care Services we provide specialist domiciliary care for all, depending on service users’  needs. A service user’s choice of services will determine which of our skilled and experienced staff will work with them, to meet their needs and preferences.

Domiciliary care services we offer include:

●     Personal care & support with meals

●     Respite Services

●     companionship, shopping and cleaning

●     Support with Medication


 


Complex Needs Care

 

Living with a long-term condition and suffering from a lack of independence can be extremely challenging. Ocearns Care services is able to supply a wide range of  Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers with specific skills, tailored to your complex care requirements, to support you to remain living in your own home or other care settings.

 

We care for individuals with a range of needs including:

●      Palliative Care

●      Head and Spinal Injury Rehabilitation

●      Dementia

●      Motor Neurone Diseases Support

●      Mental health needs

●      Learning Disabilities

●      Physical disabilities

●      Autism disorders

●      Personality disorder

●      Profound and multiple disabilities

 

Supported Living



We provide accommodation and support, this is tailored to individual needs.

We provide support around the home including cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping and preparing meals. We help with personal care such as dressing and undressing, washing, continence care and support with medication.

 

Our support workers are carefully selected to match your personality and requirements, and will provide support according to the assessed needs as per the service user's support plan. The support plan will be reviewed regularly to ensure that the individual is getting the required support.

 

Healthcare Assistant and Support Staff


Access to the right staff is key to ensuring continuity of healthcare. In conformity with the Care Quality Commission Standards and our own in-house policies, our expert team will, where appropriate, carry out a risk assessment in order to guarantee that we employ best practice in the recruitment and deployment of our staff. Our care and support workers are thoroughly trained in the interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective support.

Veronica Katsande, Registered Nurse

Director and Registered Manager


Veronica is a Registered Nurse with a vast experience in the healthcare sector. She has experience with working with different clients groups which include learning disability, neurological rehabilitation, palliative care, elderly nursing and mental health nursing. She has been working in the care environment for the last 24 years and enjoys her job. Veronica is a registered member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and a CQC registered manager.


Our Training



All Ocearns Care Services staff are trained in line with the Care Quality Commission standards. We ensure that all employees receive comprehensive and mandatory training. We are continuously updating our training courses in order to meet best practice and ensure their quality and relevance.
